THEN & NOW
THEN
The Turlock Train Depot, located at 10 East Main Street, was initially built to ship merchandise and goods. But on June 7, 1916, the city celebrated the opening of the new passenger rail depot. Passengers would continue use of the depot until the 1970s, when Amtrak moved off the Southern Pacific tracks to the Union Pacific tracks in Denair, where passengers still today catch the train.
After sitting vacant for a few years, the depot was transformed into a restaurant named Track 29 and was known as an upscale downtown eating establishment. Years later, the restaurant was sold and renamed Traxx. In 1999, the restaurant was again sold and renamed Wellington Station, a British pub and restaurant. Another 20 years later, the building was once again renovated and renamed 10 East Kitchen and Tap House.

Now
In 2022, local businessman, Kris Klair, purchased the property, completely renovating the building again to what is today known as Central Station.
A hometown bar & grill, Central Station provides a unique experience with a sports theme and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Kris' goal was to bring this beautiful building back to life for our local community and we hope we have done so in a way that is warm and inviting, while keeping the character and history of this Turlock staple alive.
